There are many ways to improve on one's writing skills. One of the many ways is by expanding and enlarging one's vocabulary. This ensues in the increase of one's reading time. When you read you will automatically gain new words that play a vital role in making your writing style more interesting and unique.
But with all that is said you have to start on the habit of writing. As what Anne Lamott say "Almost all good writing begins with terrible efforts. You need to start somewhere." Keep and fixed a specific day and time in the week to write. It can be writing a diary, a journal or maybe a story. Writing is a form of passion. Put in words the imaginary world you would like to live in and redefined reality. Challenge the status quo and make your imprint in the world.
Yup, i do agree with you ~ enrich one's vocabulary and reading are the important ways to improve our writing skill.
